Abstract: The Turing Geovisualisation Engine (TGVE or eAtlas) is a web-based, interactive visual analytics tool for geospatial data analysis, built on modern web stack technology. The visual views and interaction mechanisms designed into the tool is underpinned by empirically-informed guidelines around visualization design and techniques from Geographic Information Science (GIScience) and related domains are used to implement, for example, automatic aggregation of temporal and spatial data. For our beta release of the TGVE, we have a framework in place where others can host tailored versions of the tool linked to their github accounts. In this seminar, we will briefly outline the background, aims and contribution of the project before providing a practical demonstration of the TGVE. This demonstration will step through how you can use a template repository to host your own TGVE, add your own data URI as well as separate geography URI. I will also talk about the functionalities available in the current release as well as a plan for future development of the tool.
