The first visualization network meeting of 2017 will be on Wednesday the 15th of Feb at 2pm in Worsley SR (9.57). Note this is not the usual room in LIDA.

The Priestley International Centre for Climate is considering hosting a VR hackathon this summer so we have a special line up this time:

Speaker 1: Jacqueline Houghton who is a lecturer in Geography and regularly attends these meetings will talk about a VR application that she developed and uses a computer game engine to simulate field trips which recently won a prestigious Times Higher Education award, congratulations!

Speaker 2: Kathryn Lock is a communications expert in the Priestley Centre and will talk about a Climathon that she very successfully organised and ran last autumn.

The meeting will end with a discussion about the possibility of hosting the VR hackathon.
