LIDA Health Community events this spring include
- Building Public Trust in Secure Data Environments (28th April)
- Clinical Practice Research Datalink site license launch - CPRD@Leeds (20th May)
- Best practices in PPIE for Health Data Science led by our early career research team (21st May - details coming soon).
Several new research projects are newly underway including:
- The PREDICT project (Pragmatic Recalibration and Evaluation of Drift in Clinical Tools) led by Dr Sam Relton seeking to address issues with clinical prediction models after they have been deployed. This is a collaboration between LIDA, the Leeds Institute of Health Science, and Bradford Teaching Hospitals Trust, with engagement from the MHRA, TPP, EMIS, and NHS England. - The Kidney Data Science Catalyst Project awarded to Dr Marlous Hall and her team in LIDA by the British Heart Foundation Data Science Centre and Kidney Research UK will begin this May. The project, in collaboration with Dr Samira Bell, Associate Director of the BHF Kidney Catalyst, University of Dundee, will use nationwide electronic healthcare data to better understand kidney disease development after a heart attack.
- LIDA Health DSDP project collaboration with the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. Professor Max Henderson, Dr Marlous Hall and Dr Sam Relton are looking forward to welcoming Precious-Gift Alele to undertake a new collaborative project investigating the hospital outcomes of patients with both physical and mental health conditions (MPM) in partnership with the West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.
