Research Participant Privacy Notice
If you agree to participate in a research project being undertaken by one of our members of staff or students, we may need to collect personal data. We need to tell you about the types of personal information we collect, the purposes we use it for, the legal reasons contained in the General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act 2018 which allows us to use it in these ways, how long we retain the information for and how you can exercise your rights.

All research projects are different. This information is intended to supplement the specific information provided to you when asked to participate in one of our research projects. The project specific information will provide details on how and why we will process your personal data, who will have access to it, any automated decision-making that affects you and for how long we will retain your personal data.
