Centre for Immersive Technologies

The first full year in our new home HELIX made possible the start of several new projects:

  • Through our Digital Makers programme we led new APPG Report on "Digital Futures" highlighting skills shortage (See below)
  • Exploring best practices for using XR technologies to support people with Dementia in partnership with RecreoVR (https://www.recreovr.co.uk) and the Parklane Foundation (www.parklanefoundation.org)
  • Collaboration with the Rob Burrow centre to explore how we might use XR to support people with MND. Next year we will run a hackathon with the student enterprise society and XR Society.
