Non-household water use benchmarking
Water stress in the UK requires greater efficiency in water use. In the non-household sector, a water use dashboard can help customers understand their consumption and enables water companies to target conservation guidance on atypically high users. Working towards this dashboard vision this project analysed water use by business type and explored methods of identifying high users within sectors.
Tamara Garcia del Toro

Michael Baidu

Exploring mechanisms for Omega-3 anti-colorectal cancer effect
Omega-3 fatty acids (O3FAs) are known to have an anti-colorectal cancer (CRC) effect, although the mechanism(s) behind this anti-CRC activity are unclear. One potential mechanism is the increased production of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) by resident gut bacteria in response to O3FA concentration.

Estimating the nature and scale of response police demand
Using police incident data, the project team analysed the nature and scale of response police demand across the Bradford district. Results show that police respond to diverse incidents daily, with the burden on their resources varying significantly.
